Gurgel tried to score with a low kick but Ciosek checks it.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Gurgel. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Gurgel takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ciosek tries to bum rush Gurgel with a series of wild strikes but Gurgel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gurgel scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Ciosek to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Zbigniew Ciosek's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
