Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dee Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anzor Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greene is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Skindred - Nobody. Dee Jay has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dee Jay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anzor Greene! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Greene. Jay does a little dance to reset his feet. Jay pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jay throws a head kick that misses and Greene counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jay thinking. Greene shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jay defends it nicely. Greene darts in looking for a takedown but Jay gets double underhooks and turns Greene into the cage. Greene is trying to force a seperation but Jay has the dominant position. Jay can't get the takedown.
Jay is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Jay has clasped his hands together around Greene's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jay in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. An elbow from Jay crashes against the mat.
Jay trying to control the position but Greene is working away. Jay tries for a kimura but Greene is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jay is looking to take a break and control but Greene is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jay postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
I wouldn't like to be where Greene is right now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Greene is trying to control Jay's posture but Jay avoids it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Greene can do anything to dispel that myth. Greene is trying to improve his position. Greene being controlled for a moment. Jay is looking to take a break and control but Greene is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jay creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Greene sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jay fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Jay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Greene sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Greene avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jay. Greene is looking to escape. Jay prevents Greene from improving his position. Jay is pressing down on Greene's thigh, looking to free his foot. Greene is holding on for now. Greene is trying to stand up here but Jay is controlling him well. Jay wants to free his trapped foot but Greene is holding on for dear life with his legs. Greene is not content to let Jay control the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jay wants to pass the guard but Greene is defending well. Jay stops Greene from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Greene wants to control but Jay passes into side.
Jay throwing shots but missing, from side control. Greene defending against the ground and pound. Greene parries the strikes from Jay easily there. Jay is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Greene to escape.
Jay looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jay wants to lay and pray for a moment but Greene keeps working. Jay in side control, throwing shots but Greene defends. The ground and pound from Jay seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Jay working away. Jay is putting a hurting on Greene here, landing some big shots from side control. Greene is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jay asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jay lands a nice forearm strike. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jay is looking to take a break and control but Greene is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Greene is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jay off and has taken his back! Jay manages to reverse the position and now he's in Greene's guard. Nice work there by Jay.
Jay wants to control from the top but Greene keeps moving. Jay is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Greene keeping moving, preventing Jay from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jay throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Greene works some decent striking defense from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dee Jay dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Greene takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jay keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Greene blocks a head kick by Jay.
Greene throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jay tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Greene is in Jay's guard. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Jay here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Greene lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Greene lands a couple of decent looking shots. Greene throws an elbow that misses. Jay uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Greene's guard. Nice move by Jay! Greene throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Jay prevents Greene from getting back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Greene wants to get back to his feet but Jay passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jay passes to full mount! Dee Jay overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jay punishing his opponent with strikes. Jay quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Jay but it's paid off an Greene is forced to tap! Nice work by Jay.
