Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricky White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Smith! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A low kick from White is predictable there and Smith counters with a nice body kick.
White misses with a body kick. Nice uppercut lands for White. That snapped Smith's head back.
White thows a leg kick but Smith checks it and Smith counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Smith closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into White's guard. Smith tries to free his leg and advance position but White is retaining full guard. White working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Smith. Smith stays in close to White's body and controls the position. White throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
White keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully. White looking for a sweep. Not yet White, not yet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! White is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Smith, into his guard. Smith not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Our spies down at at immortals inform us that Smith has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Smith is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. White is aware though and is defending well. White postures up and lands a big shot to Smith's brow. Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith, not yet. White with a flurry of punches that miss. Smith is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Smith is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! White wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving. White postures up and lands a big shot to Smith's brow. White controlling from the top position. Smith looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but White is defending well. Smith quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! White has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Smith celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
