Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Martin Russell! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russell shoots in for a double leg but Penn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Russell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Russell shoots in and gets a takedown into Penn's guard. Russell's corner is telling him to maintain position. Penn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Teddy Penn will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

He has hold of a leg but Russell is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Penn persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Russell keeping moving, preventing Penn from controlling successfully. Russell is striking from the bottom but Penn uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Penn landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Penn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Russell keeps working.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Penn stands up and waves to Russell to follow him. A head kick misses from Russell. Penn tries to close the distance and clinch but Russell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Penn's Muay Thai looks sharper than normal. He has obviously been working on it in the gym. Penn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Russell, pushing him back against the cage.
