Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christian Torre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeff Martin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christian Torre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Martin!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Columbo Gatti and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin fails with the takedown.
Martin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Torre missing with punches from the bottom.
Torre misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Torre has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Martin is working away from the top position though.
Torre is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Martin is trying to work for a kimura but Torre is defending well.
Torre works his way to full guard. Good work.
Martin won't allow Torre to get back to his feet.
Martin trying to control but Torre is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Martin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Torre tries to avoid it but Martin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Torre to the ground. Torre escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Torre darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Torre has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Martin tries to roll over but Torre keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Martin has one foot on Torre's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Martin looks gassed!
Martin has his takedown stuffed
and Torre counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Martin!
Christian Torre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Martin.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Torre is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Martin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torre postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Martin in real trouble here! The ref calls for Martin to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
