Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Downey McCain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan The Juggernaut!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from McCain does no damage.
The Juggernaut looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
The Juggernaut fails to land with a series of punches.
The Juggernaut lands with a nice body kick.
The Juggernaut fakes the leg kick and cracks McCain in the body.
McCain looks to land a combination but The Juggernaut avoids it well.
McCain throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and The Juggernaut counters with a good, hard body kick but McCain shrugs it off.
McCain is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
McCain has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McCain there as he acknowledges the shot.
McCain takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
The Juggernaut scores with a body shot.
The Juggernaut throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
McCain avoids a kick to the body.
McCain lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
McCain misses with a combination
and The Juggernaut counters with a good low kick that McCain was not able to check.
McCain swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McCain scores with the left hand. The Juggernaut knows he should have avoided that one.
McCain scores with a jab. The Juggernaut acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
McCain misses with a few strikes there.
McCain falls off balance throwing a combination
and The Juggernaut cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McCain moves out of range of the body kick from The Juggernaut.
The Juggernaut takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A lazy left from The Juggernaut finds it's target.
McCain blocks a low kick nicely.
McCain tries for a takedown but The Juggernaut sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
BOOM! The Juggernaut lands a beautiful left hook that drops McCain. McCain tries to recover but The Juggernaut is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and McCain lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan The Juggernaut!
