The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalchuck rushes Larsson and presses him up against the cage.
Kowalchuck breaks the clinch.
A big right from Kowalchuck misses.
Kowalchuck misses with a left hand
and Larsson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Larsson fails with the takedown
and Kowalchuck counters with a one-two to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Larsson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kowalchuck.
Kowalchuck throws a hook but Larsson blocks it.
Kowalchuck tried to score with a low kick but Larsson checks it.
Kowalchuck connects with a looping right hand.
Larsson ducks under a wild hook from Kowalchuck.
Kowalchuck throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kowalchuck has closed the distance and engaged Larsson in a clinch.
Larsson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Larsson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kowalchuck is trying to keep an underhook but Larsson manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Kowalchuck is defending against the submission attempts here by Larsson.
Larsson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kowalchuck keeps working.
Larsson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kowalchuck haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Still in half guard, Larsson seems content to control.

Larsson is keen to just control but Kowalchuck is a slippery customer.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jack Larsson wasn't active enough on the ground.
Kowalchuck tries to close the distance and clinch but Larsson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kowalchuck throws a right and a left that Larsson avoids nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A looping hook to the body misses from Kowalchuck. Larsson does a little dance to reset his feet.

Kowalchuck throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Larsson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kowalchuck is in Larsson's guard.

Larsson blocks a low kick nicely.
Kowalchuck falls off balance throwing a combination
and Larsson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kowalchuck's guard.

Larsson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kowalchuck's guard.
Larsson is trying to control. Kowalchuck wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Larsson is pressing down on Kowalchuck's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kowalchuck is holding on for now.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Larsson in particular looking to stall.
Larsson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kowalchuck does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kowalchuck is in trouble now - Larsson has advanced to mount!
Larsson wants to control the pace but Kowalchuck is squirming around nicely.
Larsson is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Kowalchuck is forced to tap! Great finish!
