The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruger throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McCormick counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
McCormick throws a hook but Kruger blocks it.
Kruger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McCormick.
McCormick throws a leg kick which misses Kruger's front leg but catches the back leg as Kruger tries to avoid it.
Kruger scores with a jab.
Kruger misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McCormick.
A shot to the liver by Kruger. Beautiful body shot.
McCormick lands a nice shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McCormick turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
McCormick throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

McCormick throws a body punch but Kruger moves out of range.

McCormick tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

McCormick swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kruger jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McCormick walks away with a smile on his face. Kruger gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
McCormick lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kruger keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McCormick lands with a kick to the temple. Kruger shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
McCormick digs a good body shot into Kruger's ribs.
Kruger darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kruger is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

McCormick has one foot on Kruger's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
McCormick steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kruger.
Kruger getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Kruger throws a lazy right hand but McCormick sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kenny McCormick is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and McCormick counters with a nice kick to the body.
A slapping leg kick lands for McCormick.
McCormick drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McCormick throws a leg kick which misses Kruger's front leg but catches the back leg as Kruger tries to avoid it.

McCormick fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kruger has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kruger manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McCormick on his heels. He'll look to pass McCormick's guard now, I'm sure.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kruger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

McCormick wants to stand but Kruger is controlling his posture from full guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McCormick wants to get back to his feet.

A close round but Kenny McCormick will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A punch lands to the side of Kruger 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Kruger jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kruger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McCormick moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kruger closes the distance and clinches up with McCormick, looking for a takedown. Kruger pushes McCormick against the cage but McCormick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McCormick thuds his right hand into Kruger's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kruger shoots in for a double leg but McCormick sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McCormick slips a straight right by Kruger.
Kruger pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A solid body kick from McCormick.
McCormick stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McCormick wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vinicius Kruger. That's going to take a lot out of him.
