Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Tortoise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Estella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Tortoise! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Juan Estella! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Estella blocks a low kick nicely. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Tortoise circles away from the clinch attempt.
Estella tries to clinch but Tortoise is having none of it. Estella takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Tortoise throws a hook to the side of Estella's head but Estella sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Tortoise lands a jab to the head.
Estella takes the fight into the clinch. Estella is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Tortoise pushes Estella back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Estella gets control of Tortoise's arms and successfully pulls guard. Estella will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Tortoise stays in close to Estella's body and controls the position. This has been an exciting period of action! Estella working a defensive guard here.
Tortoise controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Estella has his foot on Tortoise's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tortoise works his way back into a safe position though. Tortoise engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Estella looking for a sweep. Not yet Estella, not yet. Tortoise pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Estella is keeping the position for now. Tortoise is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Tortoise's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Thomas Tortoise just wasn't active enough. Tortoise darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Estella tries to clinch up. Estella tries to clinch up but Tortoise circles away and keeps his distance. Estella tries to clinch up and Tortoise counters with a nice body shot. Tortoise scores with a jab to the jaw.
It looks like Juan Estella has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Estella moves to clinch but Tortoise breaks away and Tortoise counters with a leg kick. Estella takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Tortoise lands a lovely overhand right. Tortoise circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tortoise looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Tortoise lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Tortoise throws a low kick, looking for Estella's leg but Estella calmly moves out of range. An inside leg kick from Tortoise misses. Tortoise tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Estella is able to avoid easily. A jab lands there for Tortoise. Tortoise sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Estella to the ground! Tortoise dives into full mount looking to finish! Estella wants to hold on but Tortoise pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tortoise looking to control but Estella is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Tortoise prevents Estella from getting the reversal. Tortoise in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Estella tries to hold on but Tortoise postures up. Tortoise knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Estella on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Juan Estella has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Tortoise lands a nice hook to Estella's body. Estella takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. A nice inside leg kick there by Tortoise. That's going to slow Estella down. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tortoise avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thomas Tortoise is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Estella throws a lazy head kick and Tortoise makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Estella looks winded! Estella pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Estella takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tortoise tests Estella's chin there with a solid looking shot. Tortoise cracks Estella on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Estella falls backwards against the cage. Tortoise follows up with more strikes that drop Estella to his knees. Tortoise keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Estella! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Tortoise!
