Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rustam Bidienko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Petrushka!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrushka fails to land with a series of punches.
Bidienko looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Bidienko instigates a clinch.
Bidienko tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Petrushka manages to break the clinch.
Petrushka stuffs the takedown attempt from Bidienko. Bidienko gets slowly back to his feet.
Petrushka lands a nice looking body shot.

Bidienko dives in and scores a takedown into Petrushka's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Petrushka tries to bum rush Bidienko with a series of wild strikes but Bidienko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Bidienko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bidienko fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Petrushka to the ground. Bidienko is now in Petrushka's guard.

Bidienko's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Petrushka must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bidienko takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bidienko, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
