The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dekro shoots in for a takedown but Yager shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Yager throws a sloppy head kick and Dekro moves out of range easily.
Yager looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Yager blocks a head kick by Dekro.
Good standup being displayed there by Yager as he connects with a hook.
It looks like Alburto Dekro has been cut.

Yager moves into the clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Dekro as Yager tries to tie him up.
Dekro is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Yager is trying to break free.
Yager has had enough of the clinch but Dekro keeps him there for the moment.
Yager tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Yager really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dekro has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Yager regains guard immediately.

Yager will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dekro wanted to stand there but Yager had control of the position.

Dekro shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yager but Yager pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Johnny Yager has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alburto Dekro.
Yager tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dekro manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Yager lands a nice hook to Dekro's body. Dekro takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Yager lands a left and a right that send Dekro crashing to the mat, dazed. Yager thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Dekro is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Yager sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Dekro's defenses. It connects perfectly with Dekro's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
