Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Island Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takada Kumushi! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kumushi moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A punch lands to the side of Kumushi 's head but he takes it in his stride. Hunter lands a nice hook to Kumushi's body. Kumushi takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Hunter looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kumushi! Kumushi can't do much from the bottom here. Hunter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kumushi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kumushi tries to buck Hunter off but Hunter is having none of it. Kumushi sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kumushi gets back to full guard.

Hunter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hunter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kumushi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hunter has managed to get both his arms back between Kumushi's legs - danger averted. Hunter wants to get up but he can't break Kumushi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kumushi's head. Kumushi is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Hunter frees his head nicely. Oh but Kumushi has switched to an armbar! Hunter is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Takada Kumushi! During a confident post fight interview, Takada Kumushi thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
