Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Rexar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rexar might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Big Shit Poppin'. McCarthy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Busta Rhymes - We Made It ft. Linkin Park. David McCarthy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

McCarthy cracks Rexar with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Rexar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

David McCarthy is the new welterweight champion!
David McCarthy decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
Tyler Rexar spoke after the fight, saying 'He was the better man today. Props to him for being the new champ. I'l only get better from here on. My title aspirations ain't over just yet.'.
