Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Buford Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bitea Catalin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Catalin has chosen Korn - Falling Away from Me as his entrance music. Bitea Catalin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Buford Bass's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bass dodges the punch combination from Catalin.

Bass closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Catalin takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Bass tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bass has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bass will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Catalin can't do much from the bottom here.

We've been informed that Catalin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Bass rushes Catalin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bass really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Catalin is trying to push Bass away but Bass has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Bass tries to close the distance and clinch up but Catalin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Catalin throws a series of punches but Bass avoids them all with ease.

Bass decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Catalin tries to kick Bass off in order to stand up. Bass Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Bass misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bass shoots in looking for a takedown but Catalin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bass's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bass wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Catalin, who protects the arm well.

Catalin tries to lock up and control but Bass gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bass has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bass cracks Catalin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bass can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Catalin is looking to escape.
