The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for MacRoberts.
MacRoberts lands with a straight right. Nelson didn't see that one coming.
MacRoberts pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nelson back to the cage. MacRoberts follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Skyler Nelson has been cut.
MacRoberts throws a jab but it's blocked by Nelson.

We've been told by MacRoberts's head coaches at SWF GYM - JUDO 'n' MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Nelson has his foot on MacRoberts's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. MacRoberts works his way back into a safe position though.
Nelson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Nelson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. MacRoberts defends it easily.
