The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Buckle at a distance.
Buckle keeps the fight on the outside.
Horrible takedown by Buckle or perhaps it was just good defense by Santos which made him look bad.
Santos tries to clinch but Buckle is having none of it.

Santos displaying some good clinch control by pressing Buckle up against the cage.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Santos for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Buckle throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Santos is pressed up against the cage. Buckle has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Santos down to the mat. Santos avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Santos throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Buckle's head.
Santos tries to clinch but Buckle moves out of range.

Buckle throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Santos tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Buckle is in Santos's guard.
Santos is looking to stand up but Buckle isn't so interested in that idea.
Buckle tries to free his leg and advance position but Santos is retaining full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Buckle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Buckle stops Santos from standing up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jimmy Buckle was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Santos stuffs the takedown.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Buckle tries for a takedown but Santos manages to get underhooks.

Buckle has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Santos after a bit of a struggle.
Buckle is breathing heavily.
Stalling in the clinch from Santos.
Mauricio Santos has scored more points in the clinch so far.
Santos lands a hook that snaps the head of Buckle backwards.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Buckle has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Santos throws a front kick that sends Buckle stumbling back into the cage.
Buckle shoots in but Santos avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Santos takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Santos's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Buckle has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Santos avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Santos lands a right hand that snaps the head of Buckle backwards.
Santos stalls.
A short uppercut from Santos.

Santos dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Buckle goes for a takedown in the clinch but Santos prevents it.
Jimmy Buckle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Buckle tries to score a body lock takedown but Santos shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Santos scores with a shoulder strike.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mauricio Santos showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Santos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
