Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carl Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Ignatiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carl Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dennis Ignatiev! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ignatiev looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lee! Ignatiev cracks Lee with an elbow. That is naaassty. Ignatiev trying to control the action but Lee is working from the bottom. A lull in the action here as Ignatiev stalls from top position. Ignatiev's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ignatiev scoring with punches from side control. Lee avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ignatiev. Lee managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Ignatiev.
Ignatiev tries to score with some ground and pound. Lee controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Lee definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ignatiev is controlling him well. Ignatiev throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Ignatiev connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lee some visible discomfort.
Ignatiev throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Lee works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Ignatiev lands with a punch from half guard. Ignatiev seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ignatiev looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ignatiev is trying to control. Lee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ignatiev not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ignatiev throwing shots but Lee is blocking nicely. Ignatiev missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ignatiev perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Lee looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ignatiev. Ignatiev looks to land a strike but Lee avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ignatiev trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ignatiev trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ignatiev in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ignatiev is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Lee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ignatiev controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ignatiev is in close to Lee's body, working some short punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dennis Ignatiev dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Ignatiev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lee tries to clinch up. Ignatiev closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lee's guard. Ignatiev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ignatiev looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lee would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ignatiev wants to sweep here but Lee controlling him for the moment. Ignatiev looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Lee puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ignatiev is looking to control Lee's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ignatiev avoid being mounted? Lee tries to stand but can't do so whilst Ignatiev controls his leg.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ignatiev gets tackled into the cage by Lee. Lee maintains the clinch. Lee blocking some punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee is trying to maintain a safe position but Ignatiev gets an underhook and turns Lee into the cage. Lee with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Ignatiev is trying to force a seperation but Lee has the dominant position. Ignatiev tries to break the clinch but Lee is controlling the position. Lee with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Dennis Ignatiev has been cut. Lee lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Lee tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Ignatiev misses with a punch on the inside.
Lee is struggling to control the position. Ignatiev is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Lee using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ignatiev has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Lee landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Ignatiev tries to pull guard but Lee forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee stops a takedown attempt from Ignatiev.
Carl Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Ignatiev. Ignatiev is trying to break free. Ignatiev blocks the elbow strike.
Ignatiev avoids a wild elbow strike from Lee. Lee pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Lee crunches a lovely knee into Ignatiev's ribcage. Lee with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lee looking to throw knees to the head but Ignatiev is blocking nicely.
Lee throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ignatiev blocks it with crossed arms. Lee misses with a knee strike.
Lee is pressed up against the cage. Ignatiev has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lee down to the mat. Lee avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lee fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ignatiev closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lee quickly recovers to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Carl Lee will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dennis Ignatiev's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Ignatiev fails to land the takedown. Ignatiev darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Ignatiev throws a strike but Lee avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Dennis Ignatiev has got the better of the ground game so far. Ignatiev missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ignatiev looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lee wants to get up but he can't break Ignatiev's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ignatiev looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lee wants to stand but Ignatiev has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We're going to have a standup here because Carl Lee wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Ignatiev misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ignatiev shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lee is trying to defend but Ignatiev finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Lee looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lee regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Ignatiev.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ignatiev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ignatiev trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Lee manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Ignatiev is looking to sweep but instead, Lee has passed into half guard.
Lee wants to stand but Ignatiev has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ignatiev wants to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Dennis Ignatiev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Ignatiev has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
