Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 15 - 3, fighting out of Sydney, John L Sullivan IV!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Wes Walker!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Sullivan IV counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sullivan IV.
Walker's coach down at Camelot's Court was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Walker's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Walker blocking some punches.

Sullivan IV breaks the clinch.
Sullivan IV moves into range and connects with a jab.
Walker moves out of range of the strikes.
Sullivan IV throws a looping overhand right but Walker ducks down to avoid it.
Walker throws the kick towards the body but Sullivan IV avoids it.

Walker tries to keep at a distance but Sullivan IV has taken the fight into the clinch.
Walker throws a punch but it's blocked by Sullivan IV.
Sullivan IV blocks a body shot from Walker.
Sullivan IV tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Sullivan IV's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sullivan IV slips a jab and a cross from Walker.
Walker throws a looping overhand right but Sullivan IV ducks down to avoid it.
Walker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sullivan IV tries to clinch up but Walker circles away and keeps his distance.

Walker misses with a looping left.
Walker circles away from the clinch attempt
and Walker counters with a right hand to the body.
Sullivan IV is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sullivan IV lands a jab to Walker's midsection.
Walker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sullivan IV sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Walker misses with a left hand
and Sullivan IV makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
A jab lands there for Walker.

Sullivan IV doesn't manage to clinch there - Walker circles away.
Walker throws a body kick that misses

and Sullivan IV holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Sullivan IV jumps guard but Walker stands there with Sullivan IV around his waist. Sullivan IV gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sullivan IV pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Walker takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A looping hook to the body misses from Walker. Sullivan IV does a little dance to reset his feet.
Walker throws a hook but Sullivan IV avoids it easily.
Walker just misses with a punch to the body.
Wes Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slow jab from Walker misses its intended target.
A decent looking cross lands there for Walker.
Walker wants to land a leg kick but Sullivan IV is out of range.
Walker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sullivan IV moves away.
Sullivan IV scores with a shot to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sullivan IV looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sullivan IV pushes Walker up against the cage in a clinch.

Sullivan IV breaks from the clinch.
Walker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sullivan IV.
Sullivan IV moves away from the strike by Walker.

Walker throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Sullivan IV counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sullivan IV.
Sullivan IV is trying to pull guard but Walker turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Sullivan IV manages to break the clinch.
Walker scores with a jab to the head.
Nice defenses there by Sullivan IV.
A jab lands there for Sullivan IV.
Sullivan IV throws a looping overhand right but Walker ducks down to avoid it.
Sullivan IV tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Walker is able to avoid easily.
Sullivan IV connects with a body shot.
Sullivan IV throws a half hearted mid kick.
Sullivan IV takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Walker misses with a wild body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Walker steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sullivan IV. That one must have hurt.
Walker throws a hook but Sullivan IV avoids it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Sullivan IV.
Walker connects with a body shot that sends Sullivan IV's belly button to the back.
A right-left combo lands from Sullivan IV.


It looks like Wes Walker has been cut.
Sullivan IV misses with a wild combination.
Sullivan IV tries to land a leg kick but Walker saw it coming and moves away.
Sullivan IV scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sullivan IV looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sullivan IV throws a series of punches but Walker moves out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sullivan IV throws a head kick but Walker moves out of range.
Walker looks to score with a jab to the body but Sullivan IV is just out of range.
Walker misses with the combination.
Sullivan IV ducks under a wild hook from Walker.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John L Sullivan IV dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Wes Walker's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A telegraphed right hand from Walker misses the target.
Walker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Walker works Sullivan IV's body with a nice hook.
Walker misses with a leg kick.
Walker throws a low kick, looking for Sullivan IV's leg but Sullivan IV calmly moves out of range.
Walker tries to land a front kick but Sullivan IV steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Sullivan IV gets in close and tags Walker with a short punch that almost sends Walker to the mat! Oh Walker is in big trouble! He turns his back on Sullivan IV, trying to create some distance but Sullivan IV rushes him, striking wildly and Walker goes down! The referee tackles Sullivan IV into the cage to end the fight! Sullivan IV is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John L Sullivan IV!
