Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Roy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy Tim!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tim tries for a takedown but Roy circles away easily

and Roy counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Roy.
Tim is working for takedown but Roy is calmly controlling the position for now.
Roy is working Tim over against the cage.

Roy manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Roy wants to stand up but Tim is controlling him.
Tim passes into half guard.
Tim prevents Roy from standing back up.
Tim should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tim is trying to control the action in half guard but Roy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Tim is thwarting Roy's attempts to control the position.

Nathan Roy has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Roy closes the distance and pushes Tim back into the cage.
Roy works on Tim's body with a couple of short punches.

Roy manages to break the clinch.
Tim fails with the takedown

and Roy holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Nathan Roy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Tim.

Roy darts in and clinches Tim up against the cage.

Roy is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tim can't fight it off and eventually Roy manages to take the fight to the floor. Tim looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Roy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Tim had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Roy defends it easily.

Tim escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Roy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tim looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Roy is defending well. Tim quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Roy has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Tim celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tommy Tim!
