Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeru Masaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masaru comes to the cage accompanied by The Naked And Famous - Young Blood. Takeru Masaru has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Takeru Masaru! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Brandao! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masaru slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Masaru pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Masaru dives in and grabs Brandao's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brandao pushes down on Masaru's head and hops out. Brandao ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Masaru dives in and scores a takedown into Brandao's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Masaru trying to control the position from guard on top but Brandao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Masaru advances to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Masaru is looking for a kimura here.
Masaru looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brandao wants to get back to full guard. Brandao looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Masaru is thwarting Brandao's attempts to control the position. Masaru trying to control the action but Brandao is working from the bottom. Masaru prevents Brandao from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masaru is looking for a kimura here.
Masaru is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brandao defends it well. Masaru wants to pass to mount but Brandao is defending the position. Masaru is keen to just control but Brandao is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Brandao manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Masaru looking to pass the guard. Masaru advances to half guard. Masaru is looking to take a break and control but Brandao is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Brandao controlling the position for now. Brandao wants to improve his position but Masaru is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Masaru is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brandao has managed to free his arm - good work. Masaru not doing much here.
Masaru is looking to take a break and control but Brandao is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Takeru Masaru dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Masaru fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Brandao is out of range. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Brandao. Masaru shrugs it off though. Masaru pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. An inside leg kick lands from Brandao. Brandao misses with a hook. Masaru throws a low kick but Brandao avoids it. Masaru slips under a jab. Brandao thows a body shot but no joy. Brandao misses the body punch and Masaru counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Brandao thinking. Brandao walks forward, straight into a front kick from Masaru.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masaru tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Masaru lands a really nice looking cross but Brandao seems unphased.
Brandao walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Brandao throws a body punch but Masaru moves out of range. Masaru dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brandao. That did some damage! Brandao thows a body shot but no joy. Brandao feints and then cracks Masaru's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Masaru down. Brandao misses with a body shot.
Brandao stuffs the takedown. Masaru misses with a wild body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brandao throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Masaru counters with a good low kick that Brandao was not able to check. Brandao moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Masaru throws a sloppy head kick and Brandao moves out of range easily. Masaru lands a head kick!
Brandao pivots, looking for a leg kick but Masaru is out of range and Brandao settles back down. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Masaru keeps the fight on the outside. Brandao throws a shot from downtown. Masaru moves away and avoids it. Some bone on bone action there as Brandao checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Masaru throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Brandao is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Masaru rather than just go for the knockout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice cross by Brandao. Masaru sizes up Brandao with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Brandao has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Masaru. Masaru tries to land a leg kick but Brandao saw it coming and moves away.
A jab from Brandao does it's job there. Masaru walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Brandao checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Brandao moves into the clinch. Brandao can't find room to land a body shot as Masaru controls the action.
Brandao makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Masaru goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Brandao lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Masaru backwards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brandao lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
It looks like Takeru Masaru has been cut. Masaru's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Masaru throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brandao jabs Masaru right on the nose. Masaru blinks but takes it well.
Masaru is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! A big left from Brandao misses. Oh Masaru is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Brandao seems to be stalking Masaru here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Masaru drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
