Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Hoover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonardo DeRosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoover comes to the cage accompanied by Ecstasy of Gold. Edgar Hoover is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeRosa throws a head kick but Hoover moves out of range.
Hoover throws out a loose jab but DeRosa uses good head movement to avoid it.
DeRosa moves into range and clinches up with Hoover.
DeRosa misses with a punch to the body.
DeRosa fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
DeRosa swings wildly with an uppercut but Hoover uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hoover drags the fight down to the ground.
Hoover is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hoover looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Hoover wants to get back to his feet but DeRosa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Leonardo DeRosa hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
DeRosa misses with a kick to the body.
Hoover shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with DeRosa but DeRosa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've been hearing reports that Hoover has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
DeRosa throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
DeRosa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Leonardo DeRosa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
DeRosa throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Hoover darts in and clinches DeRosa up against the cage.

DeRosa pushes Hoover back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Hoover has DeRosa pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. DeRosa manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

That kick from DeRosa tenderised Hoover's leg. Hoover is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hoover shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts DeRosa as he jumps to the side.

Hoover closes the distance and clinches up with DeRosa, looking for a takedown. Hoover pushes DeRosa against the cage but DeRosa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

DeRosa manages to break the clinch.
DeRosa fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hoover checks it well.
Hoover throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. DeRosa tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hoover is in DeRosa's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hoover throws a big right hand that misses.
Hoover throws a strike but DeRosa rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
DeRosa wants to pass the guard but Hoover is keeping the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hoover wants to get back to his feet but DeRosa passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Leonardo DeRosa will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Leonardo DeRosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
DeRosa uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hoover has time to react.
Hoover changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. DeRosa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hoover lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
This has been an exciting period of action!
DeRosa wants to get back to his feet but Hoover drags him back down.
Hoover wants to lay and pray for a moment but DeRosa keeps working.
Hoover connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused DeRosa some visible discomfort.
Hoover prevents DeRosa from escaping the position.
Hoover scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at DeRosa to see if he's OK.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
DeRosa parries the strikes from Hoover easily there. Hoover is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable DeRosa to escape.

Hoover in side control lands a decent elbow.

DeRosa wants to control but Hoover postures up.
Hoover postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
DeRosa is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hoover's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
DeRosa tries to kick Hoover off but Hoover keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hoover thows a huge punch but DeRosa dodges it nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hoover connects with a nice short shot to DeRosa's temple.

Hoover seems to be looking for submissions.
DeRosa is trying to stand up here but Hoover is controlling him well.
Hoover is keen to just control but DeRosa is a slippery customer.
Hoover not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Hoover is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, DeRosa has managed to free his arm - good work.
DeRosa has his hands clasped together around Hoover's back. He's all about the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hoover thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed DeRosa's head.

Hoover tries to pass the half guard into mount. DeRosa knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Edgar Hoover overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hoover is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
DeRosa tries to roll over but Hoover keeps him under control.
Hoover slips a nice elbow through DeRosa's hands, connecting with DeRosa's forehead.

Hoover has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hoover has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of DeRosa's face.
DeRosa is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hoover softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and DeRosa is out cold! Hoover jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
