Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mitchell Webster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eemeli Saeldur! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Webster keeps the fight on the outside. Saeldur tries to clinch up but Webster circles away and keeps his distance. Webster circles away from the clinch attempt.
Saeldur misses with a body kick. Webster avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Saeldur gets a clinch. Webster breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Saeldur avoids a punch combination nicely.
Saeldur stuffs the takedown. Webster darts in and clinches Saeldur up against the cage. Webster drops down looking for an ankle pick but Saeldur pulls his leg out and moves away.
Eemeli Saeldur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horrible takedown by Webster or perhaps it was just good defense by Saeldur which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitchell Webster. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice uppercut lands for Saeldur. That snapped Webster's head back.
Saeldur tries to clinch but Webster moves away and Webster counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Nice strikes from Webster there. Webster performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Webster working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Saeldur looks like he's trying to stand up.
Webster trying to control the pace. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Webster throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saeldur is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Webster with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Webster winds up and cracks Saeldur with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Webster connects with a nice short shot to Saeldur's temple. Webster will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Webster is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Saeldur tries to roll over but Webster keeps him under control. Webster working Saeldur over with strikes. Webster has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Still in half guard, Webster seems content to control. Webster not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Webster sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Saeldur defending well though. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Webster in particular looking to stall. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Webster looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Saeldur is looking to improve his position.
Webster scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Still in half guard, Webster seems content to control. Saeldur trying to hold on to Webster's head to control him but Webster postures up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Webster in particular looking to stall. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Saeldur can do anything to dispel that myth. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitchell Webster dominated that round. That's time! Webster's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Saeldur gets caught napping as Webster dives in and scores a takedown. Saeldur manages to retain guard. Webster is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Webster content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Saeldur can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Webster controls the pace. Webster really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Webster decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Saeldur, up you get! Saeldur rushes Webster and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Webster manages to break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Saeldur tightens his grip and picks Webster up, before dumping him to the ground. Webster manages to land in guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Webster holds on and takes a little breather. Webster looking to hit a scissor sweep but Saeldur is one step ahead there. Webster is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Mitchell Webster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mitchell Webster. Saeldur throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Webster feints and as Saeldur raises his hands in defense, Webster changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Webster content to stall in guard here. Webster postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Saeldur wants to sweep but no luck. Webster connects with a couple of short punches. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Webster scoring with some ground and pound. Webster with a nice head shot there. Webster throwing strikes from guard but Saeldur blocks nicely. Webster looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Webster's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Webster seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Saeldur for as long as he can get away with.

Saeldur can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Webster controls the pace. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Webster content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Webster controlling from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitchell Webster dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Saeldur throws a half hearted mid kick. Saeldur is looking to clinch. Webster misses with a body punch
and Saeldur holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Webster wants to take the fight to the mat but Saeldur manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Saeldur jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Webster walks away with a smile on his face. Saeldur gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Saeldur tries to land a front kick but Webster steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A lazy left from Saeldur finds it's target. Webster goes for a double leg but Saeldur avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Saeldur continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitchell Webster. That's going to take a lot out of him. Saeldur escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Saeldur connects with a leg kick. Webster looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Webster moves into range and clinches up with Saeldur.

Saeldur looks to clinch and Webster counters with a lovely shot to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Saeldur fails with an attempt to clinch.

Saeldur fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Webster has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Saeldur tries to clinch but fails miserably and Webster holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Webster breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Saeldur wants to clinch up but Webster keeps it at a distance. Saeldur tries to keep at a distance but Webster has taken the fight into the clinch. Webster works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Webster showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Webster drops back looking for a leg! Saeldur is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Saeldur manages to kick Webster off! Webster jumps back into Saeldur's guard. Saeldur has momentary wrist control but Webster slips an elbow through the middle. Webster is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Saeldur looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Webster is looking to work some ground and pound but Saeldur has wrist control. Saeldur is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Webster sitting in guard, not really doing much. Saeldur has an active guard here but Webster has managed to pass into half guard.
Eemeli Saeldur has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mitchell Webster is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Webster with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mitchell Webster. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Webster, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
