Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Royce Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jaime Lannister!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lannister clinches.
Gracie tries to pull guard but Lannister won't allow it.
We've been informed that Lannister has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Lannister pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gracie moves out of range as Lannister throws a body kick.
Lannister throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gracie on the side of the head.
Gracie manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lannister on his heels. He'll look to pass Lannister's guard now, I'm sure.
Gracie definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Lannister is looking to control Gracie's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lannister avoid being mounted?
Gracie slows the pace down in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gracie is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lannister has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie stalling.
Gracie stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Lannister smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gracie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gracie goes for a double leg but Lannister avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lannister continues to drive forward.
Lannister pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A leg kick checked by Lannister.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lannister, as that shot connected.
Lannister bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gracie's head.
Lannister throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lannister getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Gracie is rocked!
Lannister connects with a superb combination that knocks Gracie out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Lannister before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Gracie!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jaime Lannister!
Jaime Lannister bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
