Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Happy Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grappler Striking (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Happy Day! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grappler Striking! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Day throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Striking shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Striking winds up and cracks Day with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Day blocking the ground and pound attempt from Striking. Striking has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Day is looking for a sweep. Striking is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Striking not landing any meaningful shots this time. Striking is looking to advance position but Day won't allow it. Day tries to roll over but Striking keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Day has hold of Striking's hands but Striking slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Day has one foot on Striking's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Striking bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Striking closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Day tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Day wants to improve his position but Striking is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Striking wants to work for an arm triangle but Day is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Day is trying to get back to full guard. Day throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Striking breaks from Day's wrist control and lands an elbow. Striking lands a heavy elbow. Day is trying to escape the mount.

Day is bucking up trying to escape but Striking cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Striking cracks Day with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Day wants to control but Striking is having none of it. Striking is working for a guillotine from mount but Day frees his head quite easily.
Striking landing shots from mount. Day wants to hold on but Striking pushes him away. Day is trying desperately to improve position. Striking fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Day is working to get back to half guard.

Grappler Striking dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Day controlling the position well. Day wants to control but Striking is keeping busy and won't allow it. Day has hold of Striking's hands but Striking slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Day has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Striking is working away from the top position though. Ground and pound from Striking. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Day is trying to maintain the position but Striking is very close to passing his half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Day throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. Striking slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Day. Striking working over Day with some ground and pound. Day looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Striking blocks the strikes from Day.

Grappler Striking showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Day's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Day looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Striking throws a nice outside leg kick. Striking throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Striking decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Striking lands a nice short elbow. Striking working Day over with strikes. Day looking for a kimura from the bottom but Striking passes into side control! Striking creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A control attempt from Day but he's now mounted! Striking pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Striking punishing his opponent with strikes. Day tries to lock up and control but Striking gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Day can't escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Grappler Striking comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Striking has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
