Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Silvean Maxiq (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rabago's choice of entrance music: Senses Fail - New Years Eve. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabago throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maxiq jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rabago on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Rabago defending well as Maxiq loads up on a big left hand.
Maxiq scores with a jab.
Maxiq with a nice cross.
Maxiq throws a lazy head kick
and Rabago counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Maxiq throws a sloppy head kick and Rabago moves out of range easily.
Rabago has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Rabago blocks a head kick by Maxiq.
Maxiq tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Maxiq connects with a nice looking jab.
Rabago takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rabago moves away from the strike by Maxiq.

and Rabago counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Rabago can't find room to land a body shot as Maxiq controls the action.

Rabago gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Maxiq blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Maxiq takes an elbow to the forehead.
Rabago pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Rabago.
Maxiq breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Maxiq misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Maxiq throws a hook but Rabago blocks it.
Maxiq rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rabago makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Maxiq throws a predictable looking body shot
and Rabago counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Maxiq thinking.
Maxiq throws a lazy uppercut
and Rabago counters with a three punch combo that has Maxiq backing up. Maxiq nods at Rabago to acknowledge the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Maxiq throws a head kick but Rabago moves out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A slow jab from Maxiq misses its intended target.
Maxiq takes one to the chin there.

and Rabago cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rabago slips a straight right by Maxiq.
Maxiq misses with a lunging right hand
and Rabago counters with a nice uppercut.
Maxiq is rocked!
Maxiq misses with a right hand
and Rabago counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Maxiq out cold! What a finish! Rabago is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
