Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Takuji Kawashima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Togi Makabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kawashima might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Colossal - Wolfmother. Makabe has chosen Immigrant Song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Togi Makabe!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Chris Dean and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawashima throws a jab but it's blocked by Makabe.
Makabe blocks a head kick by Kawashima.
Kawashima wants to land a leg kick but Makabe is out of range.
Kawashima looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Makabe slaps away a takedown attempt from Kawashima, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Makabe defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kawashima.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kawashima.
Kawashima fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takuji Kawashima. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kawashima shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Makabe napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kawashima wants to control but Makabe is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Makabe is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kawashima throws an elbow but Makabe slips to the side and avoids it well.

Kawashima is putting a hurting on Makabe here, landing some big shots from side control.
It looks like Togi Makabe has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Makabe is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kawashima asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Kawashima in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That has opened up Togi Makabe's cut even more.
Kawashima prevents Makabe from escaping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kawashima is trying to get an arm triangle but Makabe is defending well.
Makabe is being controlled here.
Kawashima has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Makabe is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kawashima connects with a decent elbow.
Togi Makabe's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Togi Makabe's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Takuji Kawashima!
Takuji Kawashima gave a mention to Kore Fight Nutrition [TG] in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
