PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Danny Lomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Kincaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Lomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Kincaid!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lomas tries a head kick but it misses.
Lomas takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Lomas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kincaid's waist but Kincaid gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lomas off to one side.
Lomas throws a combination that misses
and Kincaid counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kincaid catches Lomas with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!


Lomas is rocked!
Lomas throws a series of punches but Kincaid moves out of range.
Lomas has his takedown stuffed
letting Kincaid counter with a right hand.
Oh Lomas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lomas shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lomas showed some decent athleticism there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kincaid controlling the position for now.
Kincaid is not content to let Lomas control the position.
Lomas trying to control from Kincaid's half guard. Kincaid has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Lomas seems to have got his legs back now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lomas throwing strikes from guard but Kincaid blocks nicely.
Kincaid has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Bricktop's House of Hard Knocks. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Kincaid wants to stand but Lomas is controlling the position.
Lomas wants to pass the guard but Kincaid is keeping the position.
Kincaid wants to sweep here but Lomas controlling him for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lomas wants to control from the top but Kincaid keeps moving.

Danny Lomas has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Lomas takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kincaid jabs at Lomas's body.

Lomas scores with a takedown into Kincaid's guard.
Kincaid trying to control the position here.
Kincaid wants to improve his position but instead Lomas has moved into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lomas thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lomas trying to control the action but Kincaid is working from the bottom.
Kincaid is trying to get back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Lomas uses his free foot to push down on Kincaid's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kincaid.
Kincaid is in all sorts of trouble here.
Lomas wants to control the pace but Kincaid is squirming around nicely.
Kincaid taking shots to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lomas is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kincaid can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Danny Lomas will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lomas takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kincaid lands with a good body shot.
Lomas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kincaid sprawls well. Kincaid wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lomas gets slowly back to his feet.
Kincaid lands with a shot to the body.
Kincaid showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lomas.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kincaid lands a right hook to the body.
Kincaid is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lomas rather than just go for the knockout.
Lomas looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lomas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kincaid but Kincaid pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lomas swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kincaid counters with a stiff right hand.

Lomas fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Lomas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kincaid scores with a sloppy right hand. Lomas should have avoided that one.
Kincaid cracks Lomas on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Lomas falls backwards against the cage. Kincaid follows up with more strikes that drop Lomas to his knees. Kincaid keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Lomas! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Kincaid!
A relieved looking Jack Kincaid thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
