Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robyn Inthachack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanzel Spetz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Robyn Inthachack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Inthachack tries for a takedown but Spetz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Inthachack. Spetz walks forward, straight into a front kick from Inthachack. Inthachack ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spetz moves away. Inthachack clinches. Spetz lands a nice knee to the body. Inthachack throws a knee to the head but misses.
Inthachack breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Inthachack stuffs the takedown attempt from Spetz. Spetz gets slowly back to his feet. Spetz swats away the attempt to clinch by Inthachack. Spetz misses with the combination.
Spetz keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Inthachack with a poor takedown and Spetz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Inthachack has hold of Spetz's hands but Spetz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Spetz landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Spetz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Inthachack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Spetz trying to mount his opponent but Inthachack defends it. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Spetz lands a nice short elbow. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Spetz in particular looking to stall. Inthachack is not content to let Spetz control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Inthachack desperately trying to maintain half guard. Spetz is pressing down on Inthachack's thigh, looking to free his foot. Inthachack is holding on for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spetz wants to stand but Inthachack has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Inthachack trying to control here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spetz controlling the action here. Inthachack might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Inthachack looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Inthachack is breathing heavily. Spetz keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Spetz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Inthachack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. It looks like Spetz is going to stand back up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Spetz shoots in and drives through. Inthachack sprawls well. Inthachack will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robyn Inthachack. That's going to take a lot out of him. Inthachack misses with a double jab.
A chopping leg kick lands by Spetz. No luck for Inthachack with that takedown attempt. Spetz shoots in and drives through. Inthachack sprawls well. Spetz avoids the head kick by Inthachack.
Inthachack avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Spetz looks to land a combination. Inthachack sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Spetz shoots in and drives through. Inthachack sprawls well. Spetz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Inthachack is fending him off so far but Spetz persists. Nope, Inthachack circles away and we're back to standing. Inthachack blocks a head kick by Spetz.
Inthachack darts in trying to clinch and Spetz counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Inthachack! Spetz tries to control but Inthachack wriggling away. Spetz prevents Inthachack from getting the reversal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spetz avoids the attempt from Inthachack to control. Inthachack has given up his back here.
Spetz trying to control. Spetz is trying to stick to Inthachack's back but Inthachack is turning into Spetz. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Spetz's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Inthachack. Spetz has his hands on Inthachack's head, controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Inthachack controlling from the top position. Spetz is pulling down on Inthachack's head to control his posture. Spetz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spetz tries to land a sweep but no joy. Spetz keeping moving, preventing Inthachack from controlling successfully. Inthachack gets to his feet - Spetz follows without any prompting. Inthachack throws a push kick but Spetz slaps the foot to one side. Inthachack throws a head kick that misses. Spetz tries to clinch there but Inthachack circles away.
Inthachack stuffs the takedown attempt from Spetz. Spetz gets slowly back to his feet. Robyn Inthachack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hanzel Spetz.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Spetz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Inthachack's waist but Inthachack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Spetz off to one side. Inthachack changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Spetz shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Spetz showed some decent athleticism there. Spetz seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Inthachack is not content to let Spetz control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hanzel Spetz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Inthachack feints and as Spetz raises his hands in defense, Inthachack changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Spetz is trying to control the position but Inthachack postures up. Spetz looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Inthachack passes into half guard.
Spetz is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Inthachack jumps into side control! Inthachack is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Spetz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Inthachack is looking to take a break and control but Spetz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Spetz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spetz is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Inthachack off and has taken his back! Spetz has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Inthachack's body.
Spetz is trying to stick to Inthachack's back but Inthachack is turning into Spetz. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Spetz's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Inthachack.

Spetz pulls Inthachack in close to prevent any damage. Inthachack stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spetz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inthachack has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Spetz is proving hard to escape from. Spetz kicks Inthachack off and gets to his feet. Spetz shoots and misses and Inthachack counters with an outside leg kick.
Spetz has his takedown stuffed and Inthachack counters with a nice double leg into side control. Spetz won't be happy with that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spetz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Inthachack wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Spetz isn't going anywhere. Robyn Inthachack has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Inthachack tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Inthachack has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Spetz is not content to let Inthachack control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Robyn Inthachack showed his dominance in that final round. Well Spetz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
