Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chiun Remo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitri Yurkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Remo.
Remo misses with a takedown

and Yurkov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Remo's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Remo keeping moving, preventing Yurkov from controlling successfully.
Yurkov scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Remo wants to sweep but no luck.
Yurkov tries to free his leg and advance position but Remo is retaining full guard.
Yurkov trying to control the position from guard on top but Remo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Yurkov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Yurkov wants to control from the top but Remo keeps moving.
Remo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Yurkov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Remo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yurkov has managed to get both his arms back between Remo's legs - danger averted.
Remo is breathing heavily.
Yurkov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Remo is keeping the position for now.
Remo is looking to stand up but Yurkov isn't so interested in that idea.
Yurkov works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Remo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yurkov on the ground.
Yurkov landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Yurkov is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Remo reverses the position - he's now on top in Yurkov's guard.
Yurkov has Remo pulled in close to control his posture.

Yurkov is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Remo presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Yurkov turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Remo wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Yurkov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Remo tries to bench press Yurkov off him but Yurkov keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yurkov moves into full mount!

Yurkov is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Yurkov extends the arm and Remo is forced to tap!
