Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marko Partanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Partanen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Partanen.

and James holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
James tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

James throws a punch but it's blocked by Partanen.
Partanen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

James lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
It looks like Marko Partanen has been cut.

Partanen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Partanen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but James gets the underhooks and prevents it.

James creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Partanen with a big uppercut! Partanen tries to clinch up but James pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Partanen to the mat! Partanen covers up and James unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
