Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Duddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duddy comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - 'Loyal to No One'. Kruger is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Tnt. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duddy misses with the combination.
Duddy tries to clinch but Kruger is having none of it.
We've been told by Duddy's head coaches at Boomerang!! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kruger closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kruger is looking to take a break and control but Duddy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kruger trying to pass the guard but Duddy defending well.
Kruger is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Duddy is wriggling around trying to escape.
Duddy gets back to half guard.
Duddy is looking to improve his position.
Kruger is controlling the pace.
Duddy is looking for a sweep. Kruger is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Still in half guard, Kruger seems content to control.
Kruger looks to land a strike but Duddy avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Kruger must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kruger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Duddy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Duddy looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kruger wants to control from the top but Duddy keeps moving.
Duddy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kruger controls the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by John Kruger.
Kruger throws a low kick but Duddy avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Some bone on bone action there as Kruger checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kruger throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Duddy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kruger misses with the combination.
A nice inside leg kick there by Duddy. That's going to slow Kruger down.
Kruger dodges the punch combination from Duddy.
Kruger waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Duddy.
Kruger looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Duddy misses with a straight left.
Kruger throws a nice inside leg kick.
Duddy takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kruger scores with a crisp jab that stopped Duddy in his tracks.
A chopping leg kick lands by Duddy.
Kruger tries to land a front kick but Duddy steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kruger lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Kruger checks a leg kick nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Duddy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kruger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Oooooh!!! Duddy has knocked Kruger down with a huge combo! Duddy steps away and waves a wobbly Kruger back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Kruger is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crack! A monster head kick from Duddy and Kruger falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Duddy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). John Duddy!
A very excited looking John Duddy made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
