Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Don Julio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riley Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marshall has chosen I Shot the Sheriff by Eric Clapton as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Julio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Riley Marshall! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marshall looks to land a combination but Julio avoids it well. Julio stuffs the takedown attempt from Marshall. Marshall gets slowly back to his feet. Julio moves out of range of the strikes. Marshall throws a sloppy head kick and Julio moves out of range easily. Marshall throws a series of punches but Julio avoids them all with ease. Julio thuds a left hand into Marshall's body. Marshall throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Julio loads up on a big right hand but Marshall slips the punch. Marshall misses with a combination
and Julio counters with a good, hard body kick but Marshall shrugs it off. Nice defenses there by Marshall. Julio throws a hook to the side of Marshall's head but Marshall sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Marshall has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Marshall chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Julio can pounce on him.
Julio swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Marshall. A swing and a miss from Marshall. Marshall ducks under a wild hook from Julio.
That's one minute gone in the round. Julio will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A shot to the liver by Marshall. Beautiful body shot. Marshall fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Julio manages to avoid it. Marshall throws a series of punches but Julio moves out of range. Julio looks to score with a jab to the body but Marshall is just out of range. Julio misses with a looping left. Excellent takedown into side control there by Marshall. Marshall in side control, throwing shots but Julio defends. Marshall swings around for an armbar but Julio sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Marshall's guard. Marshall is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

A slow jab from Julio misses its intended target. Julio with a hook. The fighters circling - Marshall throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Marshall throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Julio's waist but Julio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marshall off to one side. Marshall fails with the takedown. Julio scores with a spinning back kick! Julio throws a looping overhand right but Marshall ducks down to avoid it. A head kick from Julio lands but Marshall takes it in his stride. We've been told by Julio's head coaches at Midnight MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A big left from Marshall misses. Marshall fails with a takedown attempt. Don Julio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riley Marshall. Marshall takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Marshall. Marshall uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Julio. Crunch! Julio slams his shin into Marshall's torso. Marshall ducks under a wild hook from Julio. Marshall fails with a takedown attempt. Marshall lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Julio misses with a few strikes there.

Nope, Julio circles away and we're back to standing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Julio has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Marshall. Marshall closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Marshall lands in his opponent's guard. Julio can't keep his opponent in guard - Marshall advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Marshall controlling the action here.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Riley Marshall! A very excited looking Riley Marshall rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
