Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vadim Lavrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buff Dickens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dickens has chosen Trick Daddy - Shut Up as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dickens shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lavrov but Lavrov pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dickens shoots for a double leg takedown but Lavrov sprawls well. He's pushed Dickens's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lavrov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Dickens rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lavrov counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Dickens gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lavrov has a couple of punches blocked by Dickens.

Dickens breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Lavrov throws a looping overhand right but Dickens ducks down to avoid it.

and Dickens takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lavrov lands with an overhand left.
Dickens will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lavrov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dickens.
Lavrov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dickenss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Dickens with a lazy takedown attempt
and Lavrov counters with a nice low kick that buckles Dickens's knee momentarily.
Dickens has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lavrov.
Lavrov throws an overhand right that lands on Dickens's shoulder, as Dickens tries to avoid the shot.
Lavrov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dickens has time to react.

Dickens is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lavrov is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Dickens connects with an inside leg kick.
Dickens takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Dickens closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Still in the clinch, Dickens scores with a nice short uppercut.

Dickens decides to pull guard.
Dickens controls Lavrov momentarily but Lavrov frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Vadim Lavrov will probably get the nod.
That's time! Lavrov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dickens throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lavrov's waist but Lavrov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dickens off to one side.

Good leg kick by Lavrov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dickens swings for the body but Lavrov moves out of range.

Lavrov thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Dickens if he has to take too many more of those.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vadim Lavrov.
I think Lavrov has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
