Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Agamemnon Coon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Stefaniak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 21 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Agamemnon Coon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karl Stefaniak!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coon has closed the distance and engaged Stefaniak in a clinch.
Stefaniak is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Coon pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Coon is trying to maintain a safe position but Stefaniak gets an underhook and turns Coon into the cage.
Coon prevents Stefaniak from breaking the clinch.

Coon decides to pull guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Coon looking to control.
Coon throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Coon wants to hit a switch here but Stefaniak passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Coon there!
Stefaniak tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Coon tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Coon wants to hold on but Stefaniak pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coon is controlling Stefaniak's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Stefaniak is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Coon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stefaniak is working away from the top position though.

That's time! Coon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Coon gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Stefaniak is working for takedown but Coon is calmly controlling the position for now.
Coon misses with the head strike.

Stefaniak goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Coon is leaning against Stefaniak and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Coon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stefaniak is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Coon stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Stefaniak has Coon pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Coon manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Stefaniak has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Coon clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Karl Stefaniak hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Coon with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Coon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stefaniak.

Coon turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Coon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Stefaniak works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Stefaniak uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Coon.
Stefaniak tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Stefaniak fails with the takedown.
Stefaniak's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Stefaniak duly obliges.
Coon moves out of range of the leg kick from Stefaniak.
Coon throws a shot from downtown. Stefaniak moves away and avoids it.

Stefaniak misses with a looping left.
No luck for Coon with that takedown attempt.
A punch combination from Coon misses.
Coon walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Stefaniak checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Coon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Stefaniak swats away the attempt to clinch by Coon.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Coon misses with a series of wild punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Coon loads up on a big right hand but Stefaniak slips the punch.

Stefaniak cracks Coon with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Coon sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Coon is looking for a sweep. Stefaniak is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Coon tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Still in half guard, Stefaniak seems content to control.

I would just about give that final round to Karl Stefaniak.
I think Stefaniak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Karl Stefaniak decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
