Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Sim Salabim!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bate avoids the head kick by Salabim.
Salabim scores with a shot to the body.
Bate feints a jab promting Salabim to slip. Bate then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Salabim slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
That kick from Salabim tenderised Bate's leg. Bate is trying to keep his angry face on.
Bate drops his hands momentarily and Salabim takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Bate ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Salabim moves away.
Salabim tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bate defends well and Salabim ends up having to push Bate into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bate tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Salabim misses with a punch on the inside.
Salabim prevents Bate from breaking the clinch.

Bate wants to take the fight to the mat but Salabim manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Salabim has a couple of punches blocked by Bate.
Salabim changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bate fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Salabim lands an overhand right.
Salabim throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bate ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Salabim moves away.
Bate takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Salabim takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Salabim loads up on a big right hand but Bate slips the punch.
Sim Salabim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salabim tries a head kick but it misses.
Bate steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Salabim.
Bate scores with a jab to the head.

Salabim drives through with a takedown into guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bate working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Salabim doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Salabim manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bate has his foot on Salabim's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Salabim works his way back into a safe position though.

Salabim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bate has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Salabim has managed to get both his arms back between Bate's legs - danger averted.
Salabim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bate swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Salabim is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bate has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Salabim can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bate had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Salabim defends it easily.

That's time! Bate's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Salabim sizes up Bate with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Oh Bate is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bate looks up at the clock. Bad move! Salabim lands a right hand from hell, dropping Bate. Salabim pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sim Salabim!
After winning the bout, Sim Salabim thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
