Drachenstein's entrance music is Die Ärzte - Friedenspanzer. A fine choice. McClelland comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Born And Raised In Lowell kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nepumuk Drachenstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bryan McClelland!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drachenstein tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McClelland is able to avoid easily.
Nice defenses there by McClelland.
McClelland misses with a looping left.
McClelland steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Drachenstein. That one must have hurt.
Drachenstein getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Drachenstein lands a jab.
McClelland ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
McClelland takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

McClelland shoots in looking for a takedown. Drachenstein tries to sprawl out of it but McClelland keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Drachenstein manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Drachenstein finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Drachenstein is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
McClelland shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Drachenstein pinned against the cage. Drachenstein gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nepumuk Drachenstein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryan McClelland.

and McClelland counters with a nice low kick that buckles Drachenstein's knee momentarily.

McClelland takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

McClelland drops back looking for a leg! Drachenstein is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Drachenstein manages to kick McClelland off! McClelland jumps back into Drachenstein's guard.

McClelland not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
McClelland postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Bryan McClelland will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Drachenstein is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

A decent looking cross lands there for McClelland.

and McClelland counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Drachenstein!

McClelland is looking to take a break and control but Drachenstein is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Drachenstein tries to bench press McClelland off him but McClelland keeps the position.

McClelland in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Drachenstein tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from McClelland!
