Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Kukulcan Tonga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Yoshimitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryo Yoshimitsu!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tonga throws a head kick that half lands.
Tonga buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Tonga.
Tonga moves out of range as Yoshimitsu strikes.
Tonga takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Tonga has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Sweat Lodge in the buildup to the fight.
Yoshimitsu is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tonga.

Yoshimitsu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tonga moves away.
Yoshimitsu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Tonga really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tonga throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Yoshimitsu looks winded!
Tonga creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Yoshimitsu crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5, yes, he's made it back to his feet. He seems OK so it looks like we're going to continue!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tonga drives through and clinches with Yoshimitsu against the ropes.
Tonga breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Yoshimitsu with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Yoshimitsu looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Yoshimitsu get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? Yes, he's struggled back up to his feet and seems OK to continue. The referee agrees so we're back to the action!
Tonga thumps Yoshimitsu with a low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kukulcan Tonga takes that one as he scored multiple knockdowns. Ryo Yoshimitsu was lucky to get out of the first round.

Tonga throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Yoshimitsu seems to have recovered his senses.
Yoshimitsu misses with an uppercut. Tonga saw that one coming.

and Tonga counters with a slapping leg kick.

Yoshimitsu sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A nice inside leg kick there by Tonga. That's going to slow Yoshimitsu down.
Tonga uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yoshimitsu.

Yoshimitsu has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Yoshimitsu there as he acknowledges the shot.
Yoshimitsu connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Yoshimitsu throws a hook to the side of Tonga's head but Tonga sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Tonga creates a bit of space and cracks Yoshimitsu with an uppercut that drops him to the canvas! Yoshimitsu is wobbled and seems to be struggling to get back to his feet. 3,4,5. He's up! Phew, his manager will be relieved but they're no doubt wondering whether he'll be able to recover properly and get back in the fight!
Yoshimitsu walks into a perfectly timed head kick by Tonga and drops face first to the floor! Yoshimitsu's eyes are wide open but he's not all there - he's just flopping around the mat like a drunk on rollerskates! The referee doesn't even start the count - he's called an end to the fight, with Yoshimitsu in no position to continue!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Kukulcan Tonga!
