Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyons ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cooke moves away.

We've been hearing reports that Cooke has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Cooke wants to clinch up but Lyons keeps it at a distance.
Lyons has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Cooke is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Cooke displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lyons throws out the jab.

Cooke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lyons can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cooke manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lyons on his heels. He'll look to pass Lyons's guard now, I'm sure.
