PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlton Oneill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fago Boski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boski has chosen Do Góry ŁEB as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carlton Oneill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fago Boski!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boski connects with the punch.
Boski lands with a shot to the body.
Boski swings for the body but Oneill moves out of range.
Oneill could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Boski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Boski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Oneill slips a jab and a cross from Boski.
Boski keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Boski throws a body punch but Oneill moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Boski. Oneill does a little dance to reset his feet.
Decent striking displayed by Boski there.
Oneill uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boski.
Boski takes a swing at Oneill's ribcage but misses.

and Oneill counters by moving into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boski digs a right hand underneath Oneill's ribcage. Oneill let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Boski is fighting off a takedown attempt but Oneill is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Boski to the mat. Boski regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Oneill is in close to Boski's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Boski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Oneill slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Oneill chips away with some ground and pound.
Oneill engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Boski had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Oneill defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Oneill preventing the sweep.

Boski looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oneill postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Oneill gets to his feet. Boski looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Boski lands a right hook to the body.
Oneill shoots in but Boski avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Boski misses the shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boski connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Oneill's hands.
Fago Boski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boski scores with a body shot.
Boski lands a nice looking body shot.
Oneill takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Oneill avoids a punch combination nicely.
Boski looks to score with a jab to the body but Oneill is just out of range.
Oneill takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Boski. Oneill does a little dance to reset his feet.
Oneill takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Oneill keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boski throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Oneill sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Boski thows a body shot but no joy.
Boski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Oneill moves away.
Boski misses with a jab to the body

and Oneill counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Boski!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boski tries to improve position but can't.

Oneill tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Oneill in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Boski is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
