Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparrow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shirasu shoots in and bounces Sparrow off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Shirasu's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Shirasu is looking to stand up but Sparrow won't let him.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Akihiro Shirasu just wasn't active enough.
Shirasu shoots for a takedown but Sparrow saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Sparrow closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Akihiro Shirasu has been cut.
Shirasu throws a right hand that Sparrow ducks under and follows up with a left that Sparrow also avoids with ease.
Shirasu shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Shirasu was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Sparrow looks winded!
The referee asks Shirasu politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Shirasu prefers to stall for the moment though.

Shirasu works to advance to full mount. Sparrow defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Sparrow looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Shirasu lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
