Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lil Fame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Nile (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Nile's choice of entrance music: Walk Like An Egyptian. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King Nile seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

We've been informed that Nile has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Good leg kick by Fame there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Lil Fame's cut is getting worse.
Nile on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Nile throws a lazy right hand but Fame sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nile connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fame comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Nile fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fame has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Fame blocks the body kick.
Nile swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nile checks a leg kick.
Nile checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Fame dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nile tries to land a front kick but Fame steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nile digs a good body shot into Fame's ribs.
Fame slips a jab from Nile.
Nile misses with a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

King Nile dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nile slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nile tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nile throws a body punch but Fame moves out of range.
Nile swings away with a body shot that misses
and Fame counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Donk. Fame catches Nile right on the button with a cross.
Fame has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Fame takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nile throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Fame counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nile scores with a jab to the head.
Nile loads up on a big right hand but Fame slips the punch.
Fame scoring well with a low kick there.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Fame might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Nile throws a body shot but no joy.

Fame moves out of range of the body kick.
Nile swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nile looks to score with a jab to the body but Fame is just out of range.
Nile throws a nice inside leg kick.
Nile staying out of range there.
Nile dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fame avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nile misses with a combination

and Fame counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Still in half guard, Fame seems content to control.

Nile trying to control but Fame postures up.
Nile is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Fame is taking a breather. Nile says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

We're going to have a standup here because Lil Fame wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Fame takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Nile plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


Lil Fame's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Fame closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


Jeez, Lil Fame's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Fame takes a kick to the side of the head.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Lil Fame's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). King Nile! King Nile retains his super heavyweight title!
A relieved looking King Nile thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
