Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Del Rio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cedric Caraan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Del Rio comes to the cage accompanied by Requiem for a dream. Caraan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by TubThumping(I get Knockdown). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Del Rio shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Caraan napping and manages to drive through into side control! Caraan is looking to reverse the position. Del Rio is looking to take a break and control but Caraan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Del Rio tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Del Rio has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Caraan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Del Rio pushes Caraan off looking to stand but Caraan dives back in and keeps control.
Caraan is looking for a kimura but Del Rio is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Caraan to get the leverage. Caraan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Del Rio has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Caraan is working away from the top position though. Del Rio is trying to stand back up but Caraan is controlling him
Caraan wants to control but Del Rio is keeping him busy. Del Rio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Caraan on the ground. Caraan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Del Rio has managed to free his arm - good work. Del Rio on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Del Rio tries to get out of the position. Caraan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Del Rio is staying active underneath Caraan, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Caraan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Del Rio is just riding it out for now. Caraan eventually gives up the hold. Del Rio is looking to stand up but Caraan won't let him. Caraan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Del Rio defends it easily. Caraan is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Del Rio rolls with it to try and escape but Caraan cranks on the arm and Del Rio is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
