Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sterling Archer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Fisher! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fisher avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Archer lands with a good body shot. Fisher misses with an attempted mid kick.
Archer drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Sterling Archer has been cut. Fisher throws a head kick but Archer moves out of range.
John Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slapping leg kick lands for Archer.

Archer throws a jab when Fisher was well out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fisher tries a head kick but it misses.
Archer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fisher tries to avoid it but Archer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fisher to the ground. Fisher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A jab from Archer does it's job there. Fisher tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Archer drives through with a takedown into Fisher's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Archer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Archer postures up in Fisher's guard and throws a big left but Fisher blocks it. Archer passes Fisher's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fisher is trying to stand up here but Archer is controlling him well. Fisher makes his way to full guard, as Archer worked for a kimura.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Archer wants to pass the guard but Fisher is keeping the position. Archer content to stall in guard here. Fisher is looking to stand up but Archer isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Archer throws an elbow that misses. Fisher uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Archer's guard. Nice move by Fisher! Archer controlling Fisher's posture. Fisher tries to stand but Archer is controlling from the bottom. Fisher trying to control the position from guard on top but Archer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Archer looking for a guillotine here but Fisher defends easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fisher trying to pass the guard but Archer defending well. Archer is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Archer looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Archer trying to get back to full guard but Fisher takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Archer is squirming around, avoiding Fisher's attempts to control the action. Archer bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fisher is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Archer is aware though and is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sterling Archer will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Sterling Archer's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Archer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Archer takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Archer fails with an attempt to clinch.

Archer avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Archer takes a kick to the side of the head. Fisher throws a left and a right that both miss
and Archer counters with a single leg into guard. Fisher didn't expect that. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fisher preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Archer is looking to work some ground and pound but Fisher has wrist control. Archer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Archer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fisher doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Archer.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Archer wants to take a breather but Fisher is having none of it. Archer looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Archer looks to land a strike but Fisher avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Fisher throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fisher holds on and takes a little breather. Archer throwing strikes from guard but Fisher blocks nicely. Fisher lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Archer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Archer looking to control but Fisher passes into half guard.
Sterling Archer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Archer tries to roll over but Fisher keeps him under control. Archer wants to get back to full guard but Fisher has passed into side control. Fisher decides to stand back up. Fisher steps back and let's Archer get back to his feet. Fisher tries to land a front kick but Archer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Archer scores with a jab to the body. John Fisher is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Archer is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fisher fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Archer looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Archer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Archer working away. Archer landing a few strikes. Archer working the head with strikes. Fisher is not content to let Archer control the position. Fisher tries to escape but Archer is in control. Fisher is working to avoid the ground and pound but Archer connects with a decent elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Archer working the ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Archer lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Fisher wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Archer has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Fisher's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Fisher is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Archer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Sterling Archer! After winning the bout, Sterling Archer thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
