Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Asda Price!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Davison!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davison shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Price but Price pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Price stuffs the takedown attempt from Davison. Davison gets slowly back to his feet.
Price misses the shot to the body.
Davison dives in and grabs Price's left leg, looking for a takedown. Price pushes down on Davison's head and hops out.
Asda Price has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Davison.
Davison goes for a double leg but Price avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Price continues to drive forward.
Davison tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Price lands a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Price stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davison swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Asda Price wasn't doing enough on the ground.

and Price finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Price pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Price scores with a kick to the midsection.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Davison is defended easily by Price.
Davison moves out of range of the body kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Price.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A chopping leg kick lands by Price.
Price feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Davisons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!


It looks like Chris Davison has been cut.

Davison steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Price. That one must have hurt.
Davison chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Price can pounce on him.
Price throws a head kick but Davison moves out of range.
Davison doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Price counters with a head kick that drops Davison!
Price wants to control from the top but Davison keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Price postures up in Davison's guard and throws a big left but Davison blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Price drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Price jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Davison has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Price wanted to stand there but Davison had control of the position.
Price is looking to pass into half guard but Davison pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Davison is in guard.

Price keeping moving, preventing Davison from controlling successfully.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Davison throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Price works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Davison trying to control the position from guard on top but Price is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chris Davison.
Davison on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Price leaves Davison with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Price counters with a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davison will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Chris Davison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Davison throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Price was covering up waiting for the punch and Davison finishes the takedown easily into guard.
My spies in Victory Gym and Spa inform me that Davison has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Price looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

You can see the frustration on Price's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Davison wants to control but Price is keeping him busy.

Davison is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Price knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Price tries to buck Davison off but Davison is having none of it.
Price is not content to let Davison control the position.
Davison looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Price is avoiding damage well.

Davison fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Price avoids it really well and circles away.
Davison shoots in and drives through. Price sprawls well.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Price.

Price lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Price throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Asda Price is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Davison shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Asda Price has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Davison.

Price lands with a thumping leg kick.

Price has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Davison doesn't defend quickly enough and Price has managed to lock this one up! Can Davison escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Price on a fantastic submission victory.
