Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Feodore Sabre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuck Liddel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Feodore Sabre!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddel misses with a low kick.

Liddel scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sabre is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Liddel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Liddel's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Liddel is covering up but some of the strikes from Sabre are getting through and doing damage.
The referee is taking a good look at Liddel as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Sabre!

Sabre is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sabre slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Sabre has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sabre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liddel pinned against the cage. Liddel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chuck Liddel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sabre tries to score a power double leg takedown but Liddel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sabre somewhat.

Chuck Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Feodore Sabre.

Sabre gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Liddel is keen to just control but Sabre is a slippery customer.
Liddel is really struggling to control Sabre but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Liddel tries to stand but can't do so whilst Sabre controls his leg.

Feodore Sabre dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Sabre goes for a double leg but Liddel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Liddel continues to drive forward.
Liddel wants a takedown.
Sabre drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Liddel gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Sabre wants the takedown. Liddel is fighting it off but Sabre persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Liddel's guard against the cage.
Liddel wants to sweep here but Sabre controlling him for the moment.
Feodore Sabre has got the better of the ground game so far.

Liddel is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Sabre presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Sabre's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Sabre tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
No joy there for Liddel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Liddel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sabre's waist but Sabre gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Liddel off to one side.
Nice takedown defense from Liddel. No joy for Sabre on that attempt.
Chuck Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Feodore Sabre.
Liddel scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Liddel throws a sloppy head kick and Sabre moves out of range easily.
Chuck Liddel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sabre dives in for a single leg takedown but Liddel sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

A jab-cross combination lands for Liddel and sends Sabre crashing to the mat! Liddel follows him down to the mat - Sabre regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


It looks like Feodore Sabre has been cut.
Sabre is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Liddel wants to stand up but Sabre is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Liddel is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sabre doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Liddel.

Sabre is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Liddel pulls his head out easily.

Liddel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sabre keeps working.
Sabre has his hands clasped together around Liddel's back. He's all about the action.
Liddel is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Sabre works his way to full guard. Good work.
Liddel wants to pass the guard but Sabre is keeping the position.
Sabre pulls Liddel in close to prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chuck Liddel.

and Liddel counters with a left and a right that stings Sabre.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Sabre changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Liddel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Sabre wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Liddel, who protects the arm well.
Liddel wants to get back to his feet but Sabre drags him back down.
Liddel is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Sabre is trying to control. Liddel wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Liddel is trying to stand.
Sabre thows a huge punch but Liddel dodges it nicely.
Sabre scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sabre lands a nice short elbow.

Liddel makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Liddel shoots in but Sabre avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Liddel misses with a kick to the body.

Liddel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sabre moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Liddel shoots in and bounces Sabre off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Sabre looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Liddel is looking to stand up but Sabre won't let him.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sabre cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Sabre lands a couple of good shots and Liddel has given up his back, trying to escape the position!


Liddel is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sabre drops a big shot to the side of Liddel's head! Oh, Liddel is out! He's out cold! Sabre jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner. In his post fight interview he thanks God. Saying that without him, he wouldn't have the power to knock his opponent senseless. Amen.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Feodore Sabre!
