The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gonzalez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Javier Gonzalez will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gonzalez.

Gonzalez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Griffin to his feet.
Gonzalez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Griffin tries to avoid it but Gonzalez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Griffin to the ground. Griffin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
