Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marc Lewis Dillinger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pozar Pozar! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pozar tries for a takedown but Dillinger circles away easily and Dillinger counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Pozar is looking for a sweep. Dillinger is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pozar is not content to let Dillinger control the position. Pozar actively working from the bottom here. Pozar is refusing to be controlled, as Dillinger sits in half guard. Pozar looking for submissions off his back. Pozar slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Pozar is adopting a defensive guard. Dillinger drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dillinger jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pozar avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Dillinger loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Our spies down at at Soul Supremacy Fight Club - ELITE TRAINERS----$580 inform us that Pozar has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Dillinger has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dillinger wants to control from the top but Pozar keeps moving. Pozar had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dillinger defends it easily. Dillinger trying to stand up but can't free himself from Pozar's guard. Pozar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dillinger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dillinger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pozar has his foot on Dillinger's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dillinger works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dillinger with a nice head shot there. Dillinger connects with a couple of short punches. Pozar is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Dillinger trying to control the position from guard on top but Pozar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dillinger is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pozar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Pozar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dillinger is aware though and is defending well. Dillinger lands a couple of elbows. Pozar is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pozar keeping full guard, as Dillinger tries to pass. Pozar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pozar has a closed guard, preventing Dillinger from standing up. Dillinger trying to control the position from guard on top but Pozar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dillinger landing with the ground and pound. Dillinger drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pozar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dillinger has Pozar in his guard. Pozar won't allow Dillinger to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pozar wants to control from the top but Dillinger keeps moving. Dillinger is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Pozar dives into side control.
Dillinger is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pozar asserts his dominance and retains side control. Dillinger tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pozar wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dillinger can't do much from the bottom here. Pozar tries for a kimura but Dillinger is defending well. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pozar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dillinger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Pozar wants to control but Dillinger is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Pozar Pozar will probably get the nod. That's time! Dillinger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dillinger shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pozar napping and manages to drive through into side control! Dillinger tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Dillinger wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pozar keeps working. Pozar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dillinger wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Pozar regains half guard. Dillinger is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pozar is just riding it out for now. Dillinger eventually gives up the hold. Pozar is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pozar regains full guard. Nicely done. Dillinger postures up and lands a big shot to Pozar's brow. Dillinger drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Pozar dives on top into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pozar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Pozar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dillinger is keeping the position for now. Dillinger working a defensive guard here.
Pozar slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Pozar advances to mount. Dillinger is looking to get to half guard. Dillinger tries to lock up and control but Pozar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dillinger has left one of his arms exposed and Pozar doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Dillinger screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
