Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Garvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garvey comes to the cage accompanied by One Loaf of Bread -- Damian Marley. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Garvey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garvey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Garvey wants to control but Bishop is keeping him busy.
Bishop tries to roll over but Garvey keeps him under control.
Garvey perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bishop wants to control but Garvey is keeping busy.
Garvey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Garvey is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bishop has managed to free his arm - good work.
Garvey wants to advance to full mount but Bishop doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Garvey wants to control from the top but Bishop keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garvey passes Bishop's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bishop can do anything to dispel that myth.

Garvey drops an elbow to the side of Bishop's head.
Garvey wants to take a breather but Bishop is having none of it.
Garvey passes to side control.
Garvey throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Bishop tries to buck Garvey off but Garvey is having none of it.

Bishop takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Bishop tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Garvey working the ground and pound but Bishop is defending the strikes.
Bishop dodges the ground and pound from Garvey.
Bishop tries to bench press Garvey off him but Garvey keeps the position.

Bishop takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bishop is not content to let Garvey control the position.
Bishop tries to buck Garvey off but Garvey is having none of it.
Garvey lands some shots froms side control.
A lull in the action here.
Bishop is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bishop avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Garvey.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Garvey controlling the position from side mount.
Garvey working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Garvey trying to control the action but Bishop is working from the bottom.
The strikes coming from Garvey are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Bishop looks to move to half guard but instead Garvey has passed into mount! Damn!
Bishop keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Garvey misses with a head shot.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Garvey cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Garvey landing punches.
Bishop avoids a series of strikes thrown by Garvey.
Bishop is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Garvey dominated that round.
That's time! Garvey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Garvey lands with a hook. Bishop tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Andre Bishop is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A lazy left from Garvey finds it's target.
Nice shot lands for Garvey.


Bishop is rocked!
Bishop tries for a takedown but Garvey circles away easily
and Garvey counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Bishop is still on wobbly legs! Can Garvey finish him?
Whack! Garvey lands a heavy head kick that drops Bishop. The ref tackles Garvey to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Bishop was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Marcus Garvey!
Marcus Garvey decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
