Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clifton Carey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Little Prince! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut lands for Prince. That snapped Carey's head back.
Carey with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Prince to score with a decent uppercut. Prince tries to keep at a distance but Carey has taken the fight into the clinch. Carey fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Carey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Carey takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Carey misses with a kick to the body.
Prince lands a front kick. Little Prince seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Prince scores with a nice body kick.
Carey misses with a double jab
and Prince finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Carey is breathing heavily. Prince lands a jab-cross combination. Prince decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prince frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Carey holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Prince tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Prince wants to control the pace but Carey is squirming around nicely. Prince throws some wild stikes that Carey manages to avoid easily.
Prince thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Prince misses with a head shot. Carey wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Prince.
Carey wants to control but Prince is having none of it. Prince lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Carey is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carey takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Prince's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Little Prince!
