Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Toke!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Toke forces Dong Chim back against the cage and clinches.
Toke is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Dong Chim breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Toke lands an overhand right.
Toke is looking to clinch.
Dong Chim could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Toke connects with a looping right hand.
Toke scores with a jab to the jaw.
Toke stuns Dong Chim with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Dong Chim scores with a takedown into Toke's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toke is looking to stand up but Dong Chim isn't so interested in that idea.
Toke looking for a sweep. Not yet Toke, not yet.
Dong Chim sitting in guard here, content to control.
Dong Chim wants to control from the top but Toke keeps moving.
Dong Chim pushes down on Toke's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Toke tries to get to full guard but Dong Chim has control of the leg.
Toke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dong Chim. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Toke has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dong Chim is working away from the top position though.

Dong Chim is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Toke is just riding it out for now. Dong Chim eventually gives up the hold.
Toke wants to get back to full guard.

Dong Chim wants to take a breather but Toke is having none of it.
Toke is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Dong Chim looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Toke sizes up Dong Chim with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Toke fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Toke stuffs the takedown attempt from Dong Chim. Dong Chim gets slowly back to his feet.
Toke connects with a jab.

Toke gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Toke pulls guard effortlessly.
Dong Chim stops Toke from standing up.
Toke seems keen to control Dong Chim's posture.
Dong Chim is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Dong Chim has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dong Chim thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Toke keeping moving, preventing Dong Chim from controlling successfully.

Dong Chim won't allow Toke to get back to his feet.
Dong Chim postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dong Chim takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Dong Chim takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dong Chim shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Toke takes the fight into the clinch.
Toke goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dong Chim prevents it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kim Dong Chim will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Dong Chim tries a head kick but it misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Toke looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kim Dong Chim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Toke turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Toke manages to end up in side control.

Toke decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Toke throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

James Toke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Toke uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Dong Chim shoots in looking for a takedown. Toke tries to sprawl out of it but Dong Chim keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Toke manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dong Chim lands a big shot there that rocks Toke but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Dong Chim is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Toke can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Toke is desperately trying to improve his position but Dong Chim has a good base and remains in mount.
